Homemade vegan yogurt, made from coconut milk, is rich in probiotics that aid digestion and support gut health. It's also lactose-free, lower in calories and fat, and free from cholesterol, making it a heart-healthy option.

  • 1 14 ounce can full fat organic coconut milk
  • 3 capsules of 30 Billion probiotics

Instructions

  • shake the can of coconut milk really well to combine the liquid and the solids of the milk
  • open the can and pour into a clean bowl or jar (if it still isn't smooth you can use a whisk to blend it well)
  • open the capsules of the probiotics and pour the probiotic granules into the coconut milk
  • using a wooden spoon combine the probiotic granules and the coconut milk really well (do not use a metal spoon as the metal with kill the probiotics)
  • cover your bowl with cheesecloth, paper towel or a clean towel that will allow it to breathe and secure it in place with elastic to not allow any flies to enter
  • place the bowl in an undisturbed area at room temperature for 24 - 48 hours or until it reaches the tanginess that you prefer
  • store your finished yogurt in the fridge in a clean container with a lid
  • you can add agave or honey for sweetness and you can also add flavorings like vanilla or vanilla bean powder
  • enjoy your yogurt with a variety of fruits, homemade granola or just as it is.
