Homemade Greek pizza dough is a simple yet satisfying recipe that combines flour, water, yeast, olive oil, and salt. It's easy to prepare and results in a chewy, flavorful crust that pairs perfectly with toppings like tomato sauce, roasted vegetables, olives, and fresh herbs.
- 2 1/2 cups bread flour
- 1 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons water

Instructions
- In a large bowl mix all the dry ingredients together.
- In a smaller bowl mix the wet ingredients together.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until you get a sticky dough.
- Work the dough either in the bowl the best you can or turn it onto a non flour surface to knead until smooth.
- Oil the inside of a large bowl and place your dough in the bowl. Cover with saran and place in a warm place for about an hour.
- If your using the dough now this is when its a good time to prepare your ingredients you will place on your pizza. Otherwise it can be stored in the refrigerator for a couple days or it can be frozen.
- The dough will rise slightly but not double in size.
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
- If using a cookie sheet place a piece of parchment on it or you can cook your pizza on a pizza stone.
- Spread your dough to the size of the thickness you like, creating an edge around the pizza.
- Spread some olive oil on the pizza dough, homemade pizza sauce and assemble with your ingredients.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 16 - 20 minutes or until the bottom of the crust is golden.
- Remove from oven and enjoy!
