Instructions

  • Place the grated lemon zest in a glass bottle or jar.
  • Pour vodka (or chosen alcohol) over the zest, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  • Seal the bottle and store it in a cool, dark place.
  • Shake the bottle gently every few days.
  • Let the mixture infuse for at least 2 months (the longer, the better), then use as needed.

You can also use orange zest to make an orange extract.
