Instructions
- Place the grated lemon zest in a glass bottle or jar.
- Pour vodka (or chosen alcohol) over the zest, ensuring they are fully submerged.
- Seal the bottle and store it in a cool, dark place.
- Shake the bottle gently every few days.
- Let the mixture infuse for at least 2 months (the longer, the better), then use as needed.
You can also use orange zest to make an orange extract.
