Homemade Strawberry Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh strawberries
  • 7 cups water total
  • 1 cup cane sugar or more to taste
  • 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • sliced strawberries, lemon slices to add to pitcher before serving and mint sprigs are optional

Instructions

  1. In a small pot add sugar and 2 cups of the water.
  2. Heat through until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat.
  3. Place your strawberries and 1cup of water in a Vitamix blender ( or high powered blender) and blend until smooth.
  4. In a serving pitcher combine your strawberry puree, sugar water, lemon juice and the remaining 4 cups of water.
  5. Stir thoroughly and chill until ready to serve.
  6. Add lemon slices, sliced strawberries and mint sprigs just before serving.
